The final G Force Gazette of the year is below. Have a great summer.


Neighborhood News
  • The last day of school is this Thursday with a dismissal time of 11:30.
  • Looking for extra math practice over the summer? Please go to the following site to assist you in parent math newsletters, extra practice for the math units we worked on, games, and many other useful resources to help your child with math concepts. Educational Targets:
Math:
Students will continue stations on unit 8 which are math concepts to prepare our students for fifth grade next year. This will consist of problem solving, review of some concepts learned this year, and touching on concepts they will learn next year.

Science/ Social Studies:
We will continue to do activities on the unit called Soils, Rocks, and Landforms. They will learn how to draw a topographic map that includes contour lines and contour intervals.

Language Arts:
They will work on their grammar skill on homophones and the reading comprehension skill this week is problem/solution. For writing, students have different choices to choose from to write about unless they are finishing their animal story.

Educational Targets:
Math:
Students will continue stations on unit 8 which are math concepts to prepare our students for fifth grade next year. This will consist of problem solving, review of some concepts learned this year, and touching on concepts they will learn next year.
Science/ Social Studies:
We will continue to do activities on the unit called Soils, Rocks, and Landforms. They will investigate their rocks that had a chemical reaction and then evaporated. They will also collect soil samples around our school to examine and compare to previous soil samples.
Language Arts:
Groups will be finishing up their literature circle project of their choice on the book they read earlier. They will work on their grammar skill on homophones and the reading comprehension skill this week is problem/solution. For writing, students have different choices to choose from to write about.
