The homework tonight is on math lesson 6.3 on making reasonable estimates of fraction sums and differences. The homework is on pg. 367 - 368. There is a video below to assist you, if needed.

Reminder: There is a movie scheduled for the students this Friday that is rated PG. Please let us know if you do not want your child to view it. A letter about it went home. Thank you.

We started a new unit on chapter 6, lesson 6.1 on adding fractions with unlike denominators. They utilized fraction strips during class today. They can use digital fraction strips on Think Central by clicking on the fractions tab under iTools. The video below will assist you, if needed.

We did math review in preparation for the math test tomorrow on unit 4, chapters 4 and 5. The students did a study guide today that is very similar to the test they will take tomorrow. The homework is to finish it if it wasn't completed during class and to make sure they understand the concepts on it. Have a good night.

We completed lesson 5.8 on multi-step problem solving using decimals. The homework is pg.333 and 339 which is one page from last Friday's lesson and one page from last night's lesson since we didn't give them homework over the weekend. There are videos below to help, if needed.

The students had some assessments today instead of a regular lesson. They had to take the unit 4 pretest to help us determine what math group to place them in the upcoming unit and a mid-chapter quiz on the lessons covered thus far in chapter 5. Their homework is a CEPA which is a sheet where they have to problem solve. Have a good night.
