Happy New Year! There is now reading homework. The students received an Activity Calendar with daily assignments that they will be responsible for completing on a regular basis. The reading homework comes from their Unit 4 close reading book. Tonight's homework is Week 1 - Wednesday and Thursday.
They also have math homework. They started unit 4 on adding and subtracting fractions. They worked with fraction strips making equivalent fractions before adding them together. They only have three reteach problems to complete on the sheet given to them today. They can elect to do the challenging side if they want. The video below will assist them, if needed.
