This is our neighborhood blog. You can click on the tabs to the right to see the daily schedule, lunch schedule, specials schedule, etc. This platform will be updated daily with the math homework and a helpful video to assist your child if he/she is struggling with the lesson for that day. 

We hope this helps along with going to Think Central for assistance, videos, games, and other valuable resources.

Parents,

The homework varies greatly tonight depending on what math teacher your child has. Mr. Utter's students completed math lesson 10.6 on problem solving using customary and metric conversions. The homework is pg. 621 and every fifth grade student has the three problem practice sheet on our SMART goal. The video below will assist you, if needed.

The math homework was on lesson 10.5 on comparing, contrasting, and converting metric units. The homework is pg. 615 - 615 and the three problem SMART goal review. Note: Students are shown all the metric units but are not responsible for knowing decimeters, dekameters, and hectometers. For mass, they don't need to know: centigram, decigram, dekogram or hectogram. The video below will assist you, if needed.

The unit 5 math test is tomorrow which covers chapters 7 and 8 on the multiplication and division of fractions. The homework is to look over the study guide that was done in class since the test will look very similar to it. Students should be doing even numbers on pg. 523 - 528 as extra practice for the test.
