Today's math homework has students practicing decimal review on pg. 225 - 227. The test is next Tuesday. A review will be completed tomorrow which will prepare them for it.
Any unfinished assignments or corrections need to be in by tomorrow.

The homework tonight has students completing math 3.12 homework and social studies. They had to read about the Mayan and Aztec civilizations and complete the questions on them the past few days. Today they will be doing the same for the Incas that is scheduled in their ClassLink account in TCI. The video below will assist you with tonight's homework, if necessary.

Due to the math test being administered today, the homework is some science review where the students have to read some pages and answer three questions on the reading when they are done.
The students are doing more review problems in preparation for the unit 1 test tomorrow. They are doing two pages of problems from chapter 2. They can also look over and practice problems from the study guide that we completed last Friday and went over today.
Today's lesson dealt with problem solving. The homework is a review of chapter two concepts on division.
Parents,
This lesson has students using the normal division algorithm. However, the students are not responsible for using this strategy until sixth grade. This lesson gave us an opportunity to practice the partial quotient strategy again. This can be seen with the video below, if needed.
Today we looked at division with two digit divisors using based ten blocks and then drawing them. They can also use the partial quotient strategy if they are not comfortable drawing the base ten blocks.
