We reviewed this lesson again today on the division of decimals by whole numbers. I want to emphasize that students are not responsible for calculating the answer using the normal division algorithm. Thus, the students are taught to use the Partial Quotient strategy and then plug in the decimal point at the end. An example of the Partial Quotient strategy is below.
