Dec. 14th Homework

Parents,

The students have a unit 3 math test tomorrow and have completed a review guide on it. They also did some math in their Go Math book. They were told to complete 3 multiplication problems from the chapter 4 review on multiplying decimals and 3 division problems from the chapter 5 review on dividing decimals.

This is a friendly reminder to have your child bring in a silly gift for the gift exchange next week if they haven't done so already.

Have a good evening.

7.8 Compare Mixed Number Factors and Products

Parents,

Today's math lesson was 7.8 on comparing mixed number factors and products. Students need to understand that when a mixed number is multiplied by a fraction, the product will be less than the value of the mixed number. When a mixed number is multiplied by 1, the product will be the same as the mixed number, and when a mixed number is multiplied by a mixed number, the result will be a bigger mixed number than the factors. The video below will explain this, as well.
