Teacher Workday - No School For Students

Educational Targets:
Math:
Students will be continuing the unit on geometry in chapter 10 and chapter 11. They are also working on their own “geometry town” to apply the learned concepts.

Science/ Social Studies:
We are continuing with magnetism by testing the strength of the electromagnet and reinventing the telegraph. We will be going back to living organisms next week as we should receive our new “critters” at the end of the week.

Language Arts:
We decided to change things up a bit. We are starting literature circles this week where students will choose a book, join a group, and will be required to read so many pages each work from the book and complete their “job role” each week. They will also be required to still complete work on this week’s grammar skill on singular and plural pronouns. Their writing skill will be research based on a topic of their choosing.
