Parents,

The students are responsible for completing pg.199 - 200 in their math book on our new unit in chapter nine. They should also be reading at least 20 minutes every night. The video below will assist you with today's lesson, if needed. This week's G Force Gazette is below, as well. Have a good night.



Neighborhood News
  • Crossroads is looking for more parent volunteers to assist with Field Day on May 31st. If interested, please notify your child’s teacher.
  • This is a reminder that on Wednesday, math homework will be assigned on Think Central.

Thursday:
  • Math homework is to finish pg.511 - 512 on review of chapter 11 concepts learned in class

Educational Targets:
Math:
Students will be starting unit 7, chapter 9 on decimals. The lessons this week will include: relating tenths and hundredths to decimals, equivalent fractions and decimals, and relating fractions, decimals, and money.
Science/ Social Studies:
We will continue working on research and a lapbook on a Native American tribe from a region of their choosing. Research is due this Friday. Those who finish early will start their lap book this week.
Language Arts:
We are continuing our literature circles this week. We will meet to share our job that we completed for the designated pages that were read for the third week. Then they will receive a new job to complete with the next set of pages to be read. They will also be required to still complete work on this week’s grammar skill on possessive pronouns. The reading comprehension skill this week is main idea and details. For writing, they will finish their research and finalize their google slide presentation on the new information they learned on the topic they chose.
