Feb. 21, 2018

Parents,

There is no math homework tonight due to us doing some review stations in math today. Hopefully by now your child knows their multiplication facts or they can continue to practice them. They should also continue to read every night for at least 20 minutes. Below you will find this week's G Force Gazette.

Educational Targets:
Math:
Students will be reviewing math concepts in stations on equivalent fractions and decomposing fractions. On Thursday we will be covering 7.3 on adding fractions using models and we will have our last PARCC practice test on Friday.

Science/ Social Studies:
We are learning about government, specifically the branches, the levels, the constitution, Bill of Rights, and a few other concepts. They are pretending to be either the mayor, governor, or president where they choose a few changes to make and write it in a brochure to their fellow citizens.

Language Arts:
Their reading comprehension skill this week is still making generalizations  while we read different articles. The grammar skill is subject verb agreement and they will also be answering different writing prompts throughout the week.
