Parents,

I apologize for the silly mistake we made on the G Force Gazette this week where we wrote down the wrong homework pages for today. They should complete pg.369 and 370. Tonight's homework, 6.7, was on comparing fractions. The video below can assist you in tonight's homework, if needed. You will also find this week's G Force Gazette with the corrected pages for tonight. Thank you.


Neighborhood News
  • If you haven’t done so already, please sign the cover your child’s report card was in and return to their teacher.
  • We have attached student names on a separate sheet if your child would like to pass out Valentine’s cards. Remember, due to the CES Wellness Plan, candy is NOT allowed.
  • Please check the 4th grade blog for updates and assistance in homework at www.gforceeagles.blogspot.com
  • Our SMART goal this year is to increase multiplication fluency so that every student has mastered their multiplication facts. This week we will be targeting nines. We will be monitoring their daily progress.

Educational Targets:
Math:
Students are finishing up unit 3, chapters 6 and a few lessons in chapter 7 on Comparing Fractions Using Benchmarks, Comparing and Ordering Fractions, Adding and Subtracting Parts of a Whole, Writing Fractions as Sums, and Renaming Fractions and Mixed Numbers.

Science/ Social Studies:
We are finishing up our PBL projects where students will be presenting them to their peers this Thursday and Friday.

Language Arts:
Their reading comprehension skill this week is fact and opinion while we read Adelina’s Whales. The grammar skill is helping verbs and the final copy on the personal narrative writing on nature is due on Friday.
